I started to study physics and optics to understand Nature’s behavior. I have been always curious on how it works naturally. It acts consistently at all time. I was intrigued by the fact that only a few equations describe all things we see. When I drop a pencil, it falls down. The Moon is rotating around the Earth. The same law explains both. Isn’t it fantastic? This was the beginning of my travel to Physics. During my Ph. D., I met a new world, Quantum World. It was a pretty new thing that I cannot understand. Fortunately, Richard Feynman, who is a famous physicist and won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965, said,

“Nobody understands quantum mechanics.”

It is against human’s intuition. Even the weird world, people found the law which governs the tiny world. Physicists still do not understand it fully, but mathematics is enough to explain the situation.

Taking a picture is a job to capture a moment. With scientific words, the light coming from the Sun is scattering on the object. The scattered light is trapped on the image detector and translated to digital information. This is a scientific situation. However, I prefer the following expression to that.

“Photograph is the record of memory that we cannot get back there.”

The scenery we see with eyes is always coming with analysis of our brain. The camera cannot record the feeling but the good photograph can bring it back to mind.

I am somewhere between those things. I am trying to build a computer that can run by a new way. It comes from nature. Even we don’t understand fully how it works, we can use it for our life better. Someday I could make one piece of the development and be part of it.
